You might think a club called “Old Sandwich” located in Plymouth, MA would be an old course. So I was amazed to learn this top-100 course is only a little over a decade old.
The course is a classic Core-Crenshaw design with a high utilization of the natural elements. They say that Ben Crenshaw spent over a year on-site and this widely regarded as one or the top 1-2 courses the team has designed.
The course is a wonderful and fun experience for sure. The par threes were framed particularly beautifully and the bunkers were incredibly natural seeming. As a short hitter I had trouble clearing some of the fescue on two of the longer holes but I will forgive the course for this and still managed to break (barely) 100. I really enjoyed the day and so did our whole group.
