A business meeting took me to Bermuda where I had the opportunity to play this international gem.
While my goal (currently) is to play the top US courses, I feel the need to put this course on the blog as it is such an A+ experience.
Originally designed by CB Macdonald one can see Seth Raynor’s influence in abundance. Raynor took Macdonald’s routing and created one of the most enduring and well thought through courses in the world.
Like all top 100 courses this track starts with a unique and beautiful piece of land. Of course being in Bermuda the Atlantic factors in prominently. But pleasantly surprising the in-land holes are perhaps just as great if not better than the ocean holes.
I loved the 7th hole par three where you hit down from an elevated tee onto a green with two small ponds in front of it (where you can walk between the ponds).
I cannot wait to play this course again over and over.
