This year’s Curtis Cup was hosted at Quaker Ridge in Scarsdale.
The best amateur women from Great Britain faced off against their counterparts from the United States.
The USGA, along with Quaker Ridge’s members and staff, put on an A+ event.
It was amazing to watch these young women so effortlessly play this very challenging course I have played numerous times. For example, on the 7th hole, I rarely see members get onto this par 4 green is regulation. Not only were these women consistently hitting the green but their approach shot with their hybrids were hit so high in the air it appeared they were landing from a nine iron.
These young women were incredibly accessible and kind to the children who came out to watch them.
